How I can help

I offer a holistic approach that integrates evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and EMDR, alongside mindfulness and somatic strategies.

Whether you are carrying the impact of past experiences, navigating a difficult period, or feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin to move forward. The therapeutic relationship is central to this process. Together, we work in a safe and collaborative way to build insight, strengthen resilience, and support meaningful, lasting change.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process traumatic or distressing memories that may still be affecting them in the present. It is widely used in the treatment of trauma and PTSD, and can also support difficulties such as anxiety, depression, and phobias when these are linked to overwhelming experiences.

EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds, to help the brain reprocess distressing memories so they feel less intense and disruptive over time. Rather than erasing memories, EMDR helps reduce their emotional charge, supporting healing, emotional regulation, and a greater sense of safety.

Emotional Regulation & Nervous System Support

Building your capacity to respond, not just react

When the nervous system has been under sustained pressure, everyday situations can feel disproportionately intense — or you may find yourself shutting down when it matters most.

This work helps you understand what's happening in your body and mind and develop practical strategies to feel more settled and grounded. Sessions may include psychoeducation about the nervous system alongside tools such as grounding, breathing, movement, and body awareness.

Trauma-Informed Therapeutic Counselling

For life's harder chapters

Trauma-informed counselling is a compassionate, collaborative approach that recognises the deep impact trauma can have on thoughts, emotions, relationships and the body. It prioritises your safety, trust and sense of choice — pacing the work in a way that supports meaningful change without overwhelming your system.

I draw on a range of evidence-based frameworks including ACT, DBT, and CBT, integrated with an understanding of how attachment, nervous system responses, and past experiences shape who we become.
